Natinal Emergency Grant for Employees of Brooks Eckerd Pharmacy

The Department of Labor and Training was successful in securing a $1.2 Million National Emergency Grant (NEG) from the U.S. Department of Labor, to assist employees affected by the closing of Brooks/Eckerd corporate offices located in Warwick, RI. We encourage you to take advantage of the opportunities this grant can provide.

Three (3) conveniently located netWORKri One-Stop Career Centers have been designated to serve you.  We ask that you contact the centers to schedule an appointment, and attend a brief orientation outlining the services available under the grant. Career Counselors will be available to assist you with reemployment, and possible training services. If you are accepted into training, the grant will pay for tuition, books and any lab fees attached to the program, up to a maximum of $4000.00.

Please call one of the following netWORKri One-Stop Career Centers at your earliest convenience: One Staff Career Center staff  will advise as to the type of identification/documentation to bring to this orientation.
