In order to certify for your weekly benefits or check the status of your claim, you must first use a touch-tone phone to select your unique four-digit Personal Identification Number (PIN) that identifies you each time you call or go online. This number should be known only to you.
Once your PIN has been selected, you will be prompted to enter it each time you call for a payment or use the online payment system. Online access will be available to you one business day after you have selected your PIN.
Please use the following instructions to establish your PIN.
- To establish a PIN, call the Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system at 401-243-9100 between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m., and select option #1.
NOTE: You cannot select a PIN online.
- You will be asked to enter a four-digit number that you will need to remember and use as your PIN. If you do not enter a four-digit number, the system will prompt you to enter four digits.
NOTE: You will not be allowed to enter all zeroes as your PIN.
- You will be asked to confirm your PIN by reentering your four-digit number. If the numbers you entered do not match your original entry, you will be prompted to try again. If the PIN numbers match, you will hear the following: “You have successfully selected your PIN number. Please retain your PIN for future reference.” This message signals the completion of the PIN selection process.
Please remember the PIN number you selected, as you will need it to process your payment or access other services available to you. Remember – DO NOT give this PIN number to anyone. It is your responsibility to protect it against misuse.
