CHASE Electronic Payment Card

Welcome to the Unemployment Insurance
Electronic Payment Card Program

Important Notice: Please be aware that in one state there have been reports of phishing emails which may affect Electronic Payment Cards (EPC). This has not occurred in Rhode Island and not with our Vendor JPMorgan Chase. Phishing is a type of scam designed to steal your personal information. The Department of Unemployment Insurance (UI) will never request information such as a social security number, card (EPC) number or Personal Identification Number (PIN) through the email. system. If you receive an email requesting this information please do not respond. For security reasons, you should not share your PIN or allow anyone else to use your card (EPC). If you believe your card account has been compromised, please call the number on the back of your card to report your concerns.

Now there is a better way to get your Unemployment Insurance benefit payments. The RI Department of Labor and Training has replaced weekly paper Unemployment Insurance checks with a single Electronic Payment Card, through its agent, Chase Bank.

When you receive your Electronic Payment Card, please contact Chase Customer Service toll-free at 1-866-847-8586.

The RI Department of Labor and Training is pleased to provide this Electronic Payment Card to you so that you can obtain your Unemployment Insurance benefit payments. The Card is a fast, easy and safe way to access your money. YOU MUST KEEP THIS CARD FOR YOUR CURRENT CLAIM AND ANY POSSIBLE FUTURE CLAIMS. PLEASE REFER TO THE EXPIRATION DATE ON THE CARD.
