The Dept. of Labor and Training will identify claimants who may be eligible for Tier 4 and notify them by mail. If you are notified, you must refile your claim online at www.dlt.ri.gov no earlier than December 8, 2013 so that the DLT can determine your eligibility for Tier 4 benefits.
To be eligible, you must be able and available to work and be actively seeking full-time work during the weeks for which you certify in December.
Tier 4 benefits are NOT available retroactively for the time between August and November, as Rhode Island did not qualify for Tier 4 benefits during that time.
Those who already collected Tier 4 benefits this year are not eligible for an additional tier of EUC benefits at this time.
The maximum entitlement to EUC is currently 73 weeks including Tier 4.
