The Rhode Island State Labor Relations Board
is located in the Senator John O. Pastore Complex (the former
Howard Complex) at 1511 Pontiac Avenue in Cranston. The Pastore
Complex is located between Pontiac Avenue and Oaklawn Avenue
(Route 2), just south of Route 37. The Rhode Island State
Labor Relations Board is housed in a historic set of stone
buildings called the Center General Complex. The building
faces Pontiac Avenue, but the main entrance and parking lots
are in the rear.
FROM
THE EAST: follow interstate 95 north or south to
route 37 west. Take the Pontiac Ave exit. Bear left at the
bottom of the exit onto Pontiac Avenue, heading south. Turn
right at the second traffic signal onto Howard Avenue and
into the Pastore Complex. Take your first right at the Department
of Labor and Training sign. Follow the stone wall on your
right and take your first right into the visitor's parking
area. This will bring you directly in front of Building #73.
You may park in some other appropriate space in the large
lot if the visitor's lot is full.
FROM
THE WEST: follow interstate 295 north or south
to route 37 east. Take the Oaklawn Avenue exit (route 2 south).
At the first traffic signal, turn left into the complex onto
Howard Avenue and follow to the stop sign. Continue through
intersection approximately 500 feet until you see the Department
of Labor and Training sign on your left. Take a left at the
Department of Labor and Training sign. Follow the stone wall
on your right and take your first right into the visitor's
parking area. This will bring you directly in front of Building
#73. You may park in some other appropriate space in the large
lot if the visitor's lot is full.
FROM
THE PARKING LOT: Enter at the main entrance in
the middle modern red brick building (Building 73), and check
in with the security guard at the main desk.
