Career management
knowledge and skills should be part of the
“tool kit” of every person. The Rhode Island Career
Navigator was developed to help provide
this knowledge and skills to middle/junior
high school students. It is based on the
National Career Development Guidelines, the Standards
of the American School Counselor Association (ASCA),
and the Regulations of the RI Board of Regents for
Elementary and Secondary Education. This publication may
be used as a resource in career-oriented classes, in advisories,
or as a school or organization can best make use
of it. It is also a useful guide for parents.
