The Rhode Island Career Anchor is a 60-page
magazine format publication for high school students and adults who are
planning their careers. It provides a description of the steps in career
planning (know yourself, be informed, make a plan, put your plan into
action) and provides references to additional computer and print
resources.
This publication may be used as a resource in career-oriented
classes, in advisories, or as a school or organization can best make use
of it. It is also a useful resource for parents, who may also use the Career
Anchor Parents Guide, available on this web site.
The Career Anchor is distributed in quantity at no cost to all high
schools and many postsecondary institutions, government offices, and
non-profit organizations in Rhode Island. A revised edition is prepared
for distribution in the fall of odd-numbered years.
