Rhode Island Job Vacancy Survey

Job Vacancy Survey

The Rhode Island Job Vacancy Survey (JVS) will provide accurate, objective and timely information on the quantity and quality of job vacancies throughout the Ocean State. Job vacancy statistics supply a measure of employer demand for workers in local communities and an analysis of job vacancy characteristics, including wages and benefits offered, education and experience requirements, and full or part-time status. When combined with other statistics, such as unemployment rates and occupational wage levels, job vacancy data can provide a good indicator of labor market tightness, labor force shortages and the overall health of state and local labor markets.
