$109.00. Applicants will be able to apply for one or more
sections of the examination at a time. Re-exam candidates are
required to pay both an application fee and an examination fee.

Lead Hazard Reduction Site
Supervisor
Responsible for on-site
oversight of lead hazard reduction activities in accordance with
the Rhode Island Rules and
Regulations for Lead Poisoning Prevention [R23-24.6-PB]. A site
supervisor is employed by and
works under the general direction of a Lead Hazard Reduction Contractor. A site
supervisor is also responsible for supervision of licensed Lead
Hazard Reduction Workers and
Workers-in-Training when the Contractor is not present.
Personal Requirements:
1. No age requirement specified
by Rhode Island statue or regulation. However, OSHA regulations would effectively
eliminate anyone under 18 years of age. 2. Citizenship not
required. 3. Residency not required.
Education and Experience:
Successful completion of a
forty hour Rhode Island approved Lead Contractor/Site Supervisor training course.
Reciprocity: Yes
RI Examination: Written
and practical
Renewal: Annual.
Requires successful completion of RI approved eight hour annual
review course.
Fees: $100.00 per year

Lead Hazard Reduction Worker
Responsible for performing lead
hazard reduction activities in accordance with the Rhode Island Rules and Regulations
for Lead Positioning Prevention [R23-24.6-PB]. Workers and
Workers-in-Training must be
employed by a licensed Lead Hazard Reduction Contractor and work under the supervision
of the Contractor or a licensed Lead Hazard Reduction Site
Supervisor.
Personal Requirements:
1. No age requirement specified
by Rhode Island statue or regulation. However, OSHA regulations would effectively
eliminate anyone under 18 years of age. 2. Citizenship not
required. 3. Residency not required.
Education and Experience:
Successful completion of a
twenty four hour Rhode Island approved Lead hazard reduction
worker course.
Reciprocity: Yes
RI Examination: Written
and practical (Worker only). Not required for
Worker-in-Training.
Renewal: Annual for
Workers. Requires successful completion of Rhode Island approved eight hour annual
review course. Worker-in-Training is a three month temporary certification
which may be renewed once for an additional three months. No
additional renewals are allowed.
Fees: $30.00 per year
for Worker; $20.00 per three month certification for Worker-in-Training.

Remodeler/Renovator

Lead-Safe Remodeler/Renovator course; or possession of a current Lead Hazard

Renewal: Every five years. Requires
successful completion of Rhode Island approved initial Lead-Safe
Remodeler/Renovator course.

Monitors activities in swimming
areas to prevent accidents and provide assistance to swimmers. Cautions swimmers
regarding unsafe areas, rescues swimmers in danger of drowning and administers first
aid.
