Attention H2B Employers!

On April 29, 2015, the Departments of Labor and Homeland Security jointly published new regulations governing the H-2B Temporary Non-agricultural Labor Certification Program. The new regulations are effective immediately.
Please click here more information.

If you are placing a job order in conjunction with a request for an H2B worker, please use the 9142B: in the interim while RI is developing a new job order form to reflect the requirements of the Interim Final Rule effective April 29, 2015.

You may also enter your own Job Order in EmployRI indicating yes if the posting is an H2B job order. However, in the interim while EmployRI is being updated to also reflect the changes all required information must be contained in the Summary portion of the job order.  Use this Job Order Check List to make sure you have captured all required information.  You must also notify the Business Workforce Center you have placed an order and the H2B Specialist will contact you to verify and approve.

The FAQ sheets found here (click the link "Frequently Asked Questions) provide useful information.  Please call Sue Biagioni at 401-462-8723 to notify regarding your job order or for additional questions.

Please check back regularly for local updates on this page and also on the US DOL website:
