You may use the Electronic Payment Card (EPC) without incurring any fees by reading the instructions that will arrive with the card. When you use the card improperly, you may incur fees. A transaction fee is money taken out of your account to use an ATM. You can makeATM cash withdrawals at an Allpoint, BankRI or Chase ATM without having to pay a transaction fee. A surcharge is an additional fee that may be charged by the owner of the ATM. If the surcharge screen appears during your Allpoint ATM transaction, enter “YES” to accept the surcharge and proceed with your withdrawal. It will not charge you the surcharge fee. You can verify this by checking the ATM transaction receipt. See the Disclosure Statement and User Agreement, and the Information About Your Rhode Island Department of Labor and Training Electronic Payment Card brochure for specific details.
