Website That Speeds Employers’ Exchanges about Workers’ Eligibility for Unemployment Insurance Is Off-Line Tomorrow - The State Information Data Exchange System (SIDES), a website jointly run by the U.S. Department of Labor and Rhode Island DLT that helps employers respond to state Unemployment Insurance requests quickly, easily, and accurately, will be off-line tomorrow, Wednesday, March 16, for an upgrade.

January Unemployment Rate Drops to 5.3 Percent; Rhode Island-Based Jobs Down 600 from December DLT announced today that the state’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for January 2016 dropped to 5.3 percent, down one-tenth of a percentage point from the revised December 2015 rate of 5.4 percent.
