Advisory for Unemployment Insurance Customers

The RI Department of Labor and Training advises its unemployment insurance customers that due to the statewide shutdown day on Friday, September 4, those customers who have not yet called the TeleServe automated telephone line this week to certify for benefit payments must call no later than 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 3 in order to receive benefit payments by Sept. 8th. The department will open its TeleServe phone line during business hours on Thursday, September 3 to accommodate increased customer usage. The automated TeleServe line is normally open only after business hours.
