DLT & Kelly Service recruiting 150 positions for GTECH April 30, 2008
|
Kelly Services is partnering with the RI Dept. of Labor and Training (DLT) to recruit more than 150 long-term temporary positions for the gaming technology company GTECH. A recruitment event for electronic assemblers, shippers and quality control & test technicians is scheduled from 2 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 6, at the GTECH manufacturing facility at 1372 Main St. (Rte. 117), Coventry. Positions are long-term, with employment anticipated through at least December. Kelly Service District Manager Linda Knight explains that the available positions are full-time and include first- and second-shift schedules. She adds that applicants should have prior manufacturing experience, and advises them to bring a résumé to the recruitment. The DLT Employer Services Unit, which is providing staff support for the event, works with employers and workforce organizations throughout the state to address recruitment and retention needs. Last year, the unit held more than 500 recruitment and job fair events. Employer Service Representatives also collaborate with high-growth industry representatives through the Governor's Workforce Board Industry Partnership initiative.
