Department of Labor and Training Alert: “Check a License” online experiencing technical difficulties

The “Check a License” option available at www.dlt.ri.gov/profregs is experiencing technical problems. Technicians are working to correct the problem and anticipate full operation will be restored by close of business today, Friday, February 24, 2012. No other online functions at the Department of Labor and Training are affected.

RI Department of Labor and Training’s Professional Regulation Unit oversees the licensure, testing, registration, and discipline of 67 trade occupations in the state and supports the regulatory functions of associated licensing boards. Their web site provides information to contractors and allows the general public to confirm the licensure and violation history of electricians, plumbers, telecommunication specialists and seven other licensed groups
