Statement from RI Department of Labor and Training regarding extension of State Extended Benefit program

The State of Rhode Island has received confirmation from the U.S. Department of Labor that it will be able to continue payment of State Extended Benefit claims through the program’s federal ending date of March 7, 2012. This two-month program extension parallels the two-month extension of Federal Emergency Unemployment Compensation, announced last week.
